A note on monthly body weight changes in adult Marwari rams, Angora and its crossbred bucks under hot arid conditions of western Rajasthan

54 Marwari rams, Angora and Marwari goats with 50, 75 or 87.5% Angora inheritance, initially aged 3-5 yr, were studied for 1 yr. Body weight in Marwari rams ranged from 29.80+or-1.44 to 39.2+or-1.16 kg, with a total weight gain of 9.4 kg during the postmonsoon months (Sep.-Feb./Mar.).
