A note on the effect of post-partum breeding on doe productivity

A note on the effect of post-partum breeding on doe productivity

Journal of Applied Rabbit Research 12(2): 84-85

Females from 2 lines of New Zealand White rabbits were mated immediately after parturition for 2 consecutive pregnancies. 213 litters from these exceeded 162 litters from mated less frequently for weight gain to 21 days of age (by 10.4 and 11.0% in the 2 lines), survival (by 3.2 and 6.4%) and litter size at 21 days of age (by 2.7 and 4.9%), but not for litter size at birth.
