A personality profile of the hotel manager

International Journal of Hospitality Management 8(1): 51-62

The increasing use of personality tests for management selection in the hospitality industry establishes a need to examine personality profiles of hotel managers. This paper describes the personality profile of effective hotel managers from one major company and relates these to characteristics of the manager's job. The profile is compared with a profile for managers in other industries.
