A preliminary report on biomass studies of Pinus patula at the Usutu Forests

A preliminary report on biomass studies of Pinus patula at the Usutu Forests

Forest Research Report, Usutu Pulp Company Limited, Swaziland (34): 12

A sampling procedure was developed using a minimum number of trees (three per sample site, one of near mean b.a., and two others of +20% and -20%). Stem profile and branch dimension measurements were used to derive equations which gave fairly reliable biomass estimates.
