A preliminary study on the epidemiological aspect of sheep pox in some organized farms in India



Indian Journal of Comparative Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases 9(4): 186-195



Epidemiological information for 1981-1984 for 12 States of India showed that 40 247 sheep had been affected by sheep pox virus, in 811 outbreaks and 18 607 animals died. Incidence increased from 4638 cases in 1981, to 19 320 in 1982, decreasing to 7010 and 9270 in 1983 and 1984, respectively.
