C. lacryma-jobi Jang Seong was sown at 10-day intervals between 20 Mar. and 10 May. Plants sown up to and including 20 Apr. matured in 63-66 days. Plants sown on the last 2 sowing dates matured in 68-77 days. Culm length was longest and 100-grain wt was greatest from sowing on 10 Apr., stem diam. and the number of productive tillers/hill were greatest from sowing on 10 or 20 Apr. Grain yield was greatest (6 t/ha) from sowing on 10 Apr.
