, : Aflatoxin distribution studies on a four tonne batch of maize. International Biodeterioration 24(4 & 5): 393-398

One-way analysis of variance of the aflatoxin contents of spear samples taken from the top, middle and bottom of every fifth sack of an 80 sack population of shelled maize showed no significant difference between samples drawn from different parts of the sack.

The micromolar calcium-activated neutral protease gene (CAPN1) is a physiological candidate gene for meat tenderness. Four previously identified single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers located within the CAPN1 gene were evaluated for their as...

The assay method was established for the quantification of a potent lipopolysaccharide (LPS) antagonist, E5564, in rat and dog plasma using HPLC. E5564 and the I.S. (an analogue of E5564) were extracted and derivatized with 9-Anthryldiazomethane (...

GPIbbeta (Mr 26 kDa) binds covalently to GPIbalpha (Mr 135 kDa) to form GPIb, a receptor for von Willebrand factor (vWF) on the platelet surface. Although GPIbbeta is required for efficient expression of the GPIb-IX complex, little is known about...

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are emerging as a class of small regulated RNAs, and the alterations of miRNAs are implicated in the initiation and progression of human cancers. Our study shows that inhibition of miR-20a in OVCAR3 ovarian cancer cell line coul...
