, : African histoplasmosis in Ethiopia: a case report. East African Medical Journal 64(6): 428-430

A case of African histoplasmosis is reported in a 19-yr-old boy with cutaneous and bone involvement. A chest X-ray on admission revealed bronchopneumonic infiltration which resolved without treatment. The patient was ill-managed for several months for various dermatological conditions until a biopsy from a skin nodule demonstrated Histoplasma duboisii.
