Nine specific areas of Africa's current development crisis are examined for possible Soviet-US cooperation and assistance. These include aspects of food production and distribution, environmental protection and maintenance, the problem of the external debt burden on Africa's socioeconomic development, and finding feasible solutions to epidemics and other health related problems.
