, : Aggregation, arrival responses and growth of Bagrada hilaris (Heteroptera: Pentatomidae). Annals of Entomology 6(1): 19-26

The biology and behaviour of Bagrada hilaris was studied in the laboratory. Various factors were tested for their effect on aggregation. Aggregation was most pronounced at low humidities (40-60%), 28-30 degrees C, in yellow and green light and on pale yellow and brown substrates and coarse particles. It is suggested that an aggregation and/or sex pheromone occurs in both sexes. Adults were attracted to both water and ether extracts of Indian mustard seeds.
