Agricultural disturbance, wildlife and landscape management

, : Agricultural disturbance, wildlife and landscape management. Landscape ecology and management Proceedings of the First Symposium of the Canadian Society for Landscape Ecology and Management: University of Guelph, May 1987: 77-84

This paper examines the impact of forest fragmentation due to agricultural activity on wildlife, in particular birds, in the Mixed-Wood Plain (MWP) ecozone. This ecozone is defined by Environment Canada and includes parts of Ontario and Quebec. It is characterized by mixed forests, mainly on plains, clay-rich soils, cool to cold winters and warm to hot summers, with moderate precipitation.
