Primarily written as a textbook for undergraduates, this eighth edition is divided into three sections: (1) Principles of agricultural finance; (2) Financial management of the farm business; (3) Financial markets and agricultural credit institutions. Part 1 consists of three chapters that provide an introductory level treatment of the impacts of risk and time on financial decisions. In Chapter 2 a distinction is made between business risk and financial risk.
