Agricultural use of plant growth regulators. II. The effect of uniconazole and paclobutrazol treatment on rice seedling growth

Rice was given 0-16 g uniconazole or 0-24 g paclobutrazol applied to the soil just before sowing or at the 1.5- or 2.5-leaf stage. Plant height, leaf sheath and leaf blade length decreased with increasing growth regulator rate. Shorter plants tended to be more healthy. The difference between treated and non-treated plants was greatest 30 d after sowing and decreased thereafter.
