Anastomosis grouping and cultural characteristics of isolates of Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn from sclerotia overwintered in paddy fields

Anastomosis grouping and cultural characteristics of isolates of Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn from sclerotia overwintered in paddy fields

Korean Journal of Plant Pathology 4(2): 136-142

The 520 isolates from overwintered sclerotia in paddy field in 12 locations in Korea were classified as anastomosis group AG-1 and corresponded to cultural type 1A. On PDA most of the isolates grew at 10 and 35 degrees C but none at 8 and 37 degrees. Opt. temp. for mycelial growth was 25-31 degrees C and there were no significant differences in the min., max. and opt. in relation to locality.
