The bioavailability of the two preparations (Terramycine Longue Action R and Terralon 20% L.A.R.) were compared in 2 groups of cattle. Single doses administered were equal to 20 mg oxytetracycline per kg. Due to lower dissolution rate of the drug at the injection site, mean time before absorption and apparent elimination half-life exhibited by the Terramycin preparation were higher than the corresponding values observed with Terralon.
