Brassica napus (L) var. napus (rapeseed) cv. Nindoo

Nindoo is a blackleg (Leptosphaeria maculans) resistant swede rape selected in the cross Chikuzen*2//Zephyr/Bronowski and is suitable for all growing regions of Victoria. During 1983-86, it yielded 12, 9 and 2% higher than Wesbrook, Marnoo and Tatyoon, respectively. Nindoo is 5-10 cm shorter than Tatyoon and flowers 3 days earlier. Nindoo has a seed erucic acid percentage of 0.3%, compared with 0.8, 1.0 and 1.6% for Tatyoon, Wesbrook and Murnoo, respectively.
