Calculation of the moisture behaviour of structural elements of wood and wood-based materials: selection of material properties as regards moisture

Calculation of the moisture behaviour of structural elements of wood and wood-based materials: selection of material properties as regards moisture

Holz als Roh und Werkstoff 47(8): 317-322

Special functions are required to calculate the climatically-caused moisture transport processes in structural components with the aid of an existing computer program. Data are presented on the sorption properties, diffusion characteristics, and capillary transport characteristics available for various wood species and wood-based materials, and on how far they are suitable for use in determining the new coefficients.
