Chemical control of corn leaf aphid, Rhopalosiphum maidis (Fitch) infesting barley

A total of 12 insecticides was tested for the control of Rhopalosiphum maidis on barley in Haryana, India, during 1984-86. All the insecticides tested were more effective than water or no treatment. One day after spraying, formothion, monocrotophos, oxydemeton-methyl and phosphamidon (at 0.025%) and 0.05% fenitrothion were the most effective.
