Marketing US agriculture: 159-163



New food and fibre products expand the demand for agricultural commodities, create new jobs and provide a wide range of product choices for consumers. Research and development play a critical role for manufacturers in understanding consumer trends and demands and in creating marketable and successful new products. This paper outlines the contribution made to this process by the Commodity Research and Promotion Boards in the USA.
