The insecticide susceptibility of the delphacids Sogatella furcifera and Nilaparvata lugens collected in Bogor (Indonesia) and Chiguko (Japan) was assessed in the laboratory using several topically applied unsynergized organophosphate, organochlorine, carbamate and pyrethroid insecticide formulations. The LD50s of lindane and p,p'-DDT for males and females of the Bogor strain of S. furcifera were smaller than those of the Chikugo strain.
