Controlled traffic research: an international report

Controlled traffic research: an international report

Agricultural engineering Proceedings of the 11th international congress on agricultural engineering: 1787-1794

A rationale is presented for management of soil compaction based on soil-machine and soil-plant research. Agricultural tyres need dry, highly compacted soil to provide flotation, mobility and good tractive efficiency, while agricultural crops need the opposite soil condition: good moisture and low compaction levels.
