Correlation coefficient of leaf breakdown with some agronomic characters in flue-cured tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.)

Correlations between leaf and agronomic characters were studied in 11 F6 advanced lines and their parents NC95 and NC2326, differing in leaf and sucker characteristics, days to flowering, yield and resistance to bacterial wilt (Pseudomonas solanacearum). Broad-sense heritability for all traits studied ranged from 59.3% (bacterial wilt) to 87.7% (weight of suckers).
