In a trial with 13 cultivars grown outdoors with or without direct covers of polyester fabric, the heads were harvested when they were developed but still loose, or 1 week later. Tables show head weight, stem length as a percentage of total head length, percentage of rejects with tip burn, and percentage of sound heads. No bolting occurred except in AH700.
