Cultivar-rootstock combinations in irrigated orchards



Sadovodstvo i Vinogradarstvo (4): 12-16



Results of trials started in 1971 in the southern steppe region of the Ukraine with 5 apple cultivars grafted on Sary Sinap seedling and M.2, M.4, M.7 and M.9 clonal rootstocks are reported. Trees started to bear earliest and were most productive on M.9. Of the medium-vigorous rootstocks, M.7 was the best for intensive orchards.
