On the basis of a 3-year study (1975-77) of the varietal diversity of cereal and other crops in this major centre of origin and diversity for many crop plants, during which about 2000 local forms were collected as breeding material, information is presented on Ethiopian forms of wheat, barley, triticale, sorghum, maize and teff (Eragrostis tef).
