At Manfredi land was prepared traditionally by ploughing and harrowing, by ploughing after soyabeans and rotating after sorghum, chisel ploughing and cultivating or direct sowing and 0 or 50 kg N/ha was applied. Cultivation systems had no effect on soyabean seed yields (2.48 t/ha) or sorghum grain yields (3.37 t).
