Cultivation techniques for enhancing productivity and processing quality of yam (Dioscorea alata L.) Coconut-Lisbon

Data are given on agronomic characteristics and FW accumulation of D. alata Coconut-Lisbon. When combinations of 0-120 kg N, 60 kg P2O5 and 0-180 kg K2O/ha were applied to (a) Coconut-Lisbon and (b) a local Taitung cultivar, tuber yields were highest with 90 kg N + 60 kg each of P2O5 and K2O in (a) and 90 kg N + 60 kg P2O5 + 120 kg K2O in (b). Planting in Apr. rather than May or June gave the highest yield of (a). The best spacing was 80 x 20 cm.
