Cultural artistic recreation and community development

Cultural artistic recreation and community development

Memorias, 2o Congreso Internacional, 4o Nacional de Tiempo Libre y Recreacion, Bucaramanga, 28 de febrero a 4 de marzo 1989: 82-99

Better use needs to be made of underutilized open spaces for recreational activities which contribute to the constructive use of leisure time and, consequently, the sociocultural development of the community. The paper looks at the concepts of recreation and social research and applies them in a study of the Ecological Park of Morrorico, Colombia, a cultural artistic project designed to help develop the local community from a social, recreational and cultural point of view.
