Culture of isolated cotyledons and embryos of apple

Culture of isolated cotyledons and embryos of apple

Problemy ekologicheskogo monitoringa i geneticheskie aspekty ornitofauny i drugikh organizmov 2 Problemy geneticheskogo i ekologicheskogo monitoringa rastenii i zhivotnykh: 58-59

In tissue culture experiments with 6 cultivars, excised cotyledons and the rest of the embryo were plated separately on modified MS medium with and without 200 ml potato extract/litre. Within a month, cotyledon explants formed buds at the point of excision, which subsequently developed into shoots. One cotyledon formed up to 30 microshoots.
