Culturing isolated protoplasts obtained from plants of the Leguminosae

Culturing isolated protoplasts obtained from plants of the Leguminosae

Biologiya kul' tiviruemykh kletok i biotekhnologiya, 1: 20

Protoplasts obtained from leaves of Pisum sativum, Medicago varia and Lupinus angustifolius and from immature embryos of Glycine max were cultured on modified KM 8p medium at 28 degrees C in the dark. The frequency of division ranged from 30 to 80% depending on species; protoplasts of lupin divided least rapidly, while the frequency of divisions was highest in soyabean.
