The two parts contain agricultural planning information for Uganda. 49 regions of similar agronomic and socioeconomic characteristics are identified. For each region, a linear programming model is used to identify optimum resource allocation patterns at farm level, production constraints, and cropping systems. Part 1 outlines the methodology and results for some of the regions.
