Current clinical patterns of human African (Trypanosoma brucei gambiense) Trypanosomiasis: analysis of 300 cases in the Daloa endemic focus in Ivory Coast

Bulletin de la Societe de Pathologie Exotique et de ses Filiales 81(3 bis): 427-444

From January 1983 to October 1984, three hundred patients were investigated for trypanosomiases at the Human Trypanosomiasis Clinic in Daloa, Ivory Coast. Their mean age was 25.5 years and the male to female ratio was 1.5:1. Their clinical and CSF findings are reported in detail. According to CSF status, 261 patients (87%) were classed as being in the 2nd phase of the disease (P2).
