The second in this two-part series includes a short section on rabies vaccination, the main vaccines intended for use in cats against feline panleukopenia (feline infectious enteritis), feline respiratory disease and feline leukaemia virus, vaccination of ferrets, vaccination failures, the blocking effect of maternal antibodies, host immunosuppression, drug administration, pre-existent disease incubation, adverse environmental conditions, nutritional imbalance, stress, improper handling of vaccines, age and the immune response, vaccination during gestation and a list of agents for which vaccines are currently unavailable namely canine herpesvirus, feline infectious peritonitis and feline immunodeficiency virus.
