Current standard and reference values for height or length and body mass in the German Democratic Republic

Evolution of length or height from birth to 60 years old, based on results from several recent studies, is examined and illustrated as 5th, 50th and 95th percentile curves for each sex separately, together with median curves from surveys in 1967-68. Evolution of body mass is treated similarly and relation between height (length) and body mass according to age is traced.
