Cut chrysanthemums in a closed system

Cut chrysanthemums in a closed system

Deutscher Gartenbau 41(49): 2890-2892

Differences in growth and quality of plants of 6 chrysanthemum cultivars grown on 2 substrates (TKS I and Einheitserde P) of various depths (5, 10 or 15 cm) and in closed systems with fully automatic water and nutrient supply were investigated. Growing chrysanthemums in closed systems was shown to be possible. With both substrates cut flowers of good length and quality were obtained.
