Cutaneous nocardiosis in Japan

Japanese Journal of Medical Mycology 31(3): 265-273

Fifty-eight cutaneous Nocardia infections reported in Japan during 1951-1988 are reviewed. The causative organisms were N. asteroides, N. brasiliensis and N. caviae. Middle aged males were affected most frequently and a predilection for legs followed by arms was common.
