Cyanamide improves cropping performance of kiwifruit variety Hayward in Western Australia

Cyanamide improves cropping performance of kiwifruit variety Hayward in Western Australia

Acta Horticulturae ( 240): 189-192

Dormex (520 g/litre cyanamide) was evaluated over 2 consecutive seasons on mature vines. Winter conditions in 1987 were considerably milder than in the previous winter and together they reflected the approximate extremes of winter conditions experienced in many kiwifruit growing regions of Western Australia. Dormex was applied at 2, 4 and 6 weeks before anticipated bud burst at 3 rates (1.0, 2.5 and 5.0%).
