Abstract
All chromosomes in the complement (2n = 14) were identified by differential staining with acetocarmine and with an AT-specific fluorochrome and the GC-specific actinomycin D . Three groups of chromosomes were distinguished: (1) pairs 1, 2 and 3, submetacentrics exceeding the other chromosomes in length; (2) pairs 4 and 5, respectively metacentric and submetacentric, which are shorter than group 1; and (3) pairs 6 and 7, submetacentric and the shortest of all. Detailed information is presented on the morphology of the various chromosomes.
