In field trials at Kalyani in 1985-87, potatoes Kufri Badsah were given 0-240 kg N + 0-150 kg P2O5 + 0-180 kg K2O/ha. Tuber yields increased with up to 160 kg N, 150 kg P2O5 and 100 kg K2O (max. yields of 24.6, 23.7 and 24.7 t/ha, resp.). Quadratic equations were devised for the yield response to each fertilizer and an economic analysis of fertilizer use was carried out.
