Effect of a single cut and climatic conditions on quantitative and qualitative changes of flora on canal slopes

The effect of a single cut and climatic conditions on qualitative and quantitative changes of flora was studied on the permanent slope and shoulders of the Cvetko canal at Klisa in 1981-85. One cut annually did not significantly affect the number of species. However, it reduced the total biomass. The predominant species both before and after cutting was Sorghum halepense. Climatic conditions affected the total biomass of flora.
