In 3-year trials with the cultivar Japanese White, stecklings (32x6 cm in size) were planted in late Dec. at 60x30, 60x45 and 60x60 cm. N was applied at 45, 60 or 75 kg/ha with P2O5:K2O at 45:30 kg/ha as the basal dose.
