Effect of interaction between Meloidogyne javanica and Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris on chickpea

Effect of interaction between Meloidogyne javanica and Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris on chickpea

Indian Journal of Nematology 17(1): 145-146

ISSN/ISBN: 0303-6960

In pot experiments, 500 freshly hatched larvae of M. javanica/500 g soil and 5% (w/w) F. oxysporum f.sp. ciceris were inoculated alone, simultaneously or 10 days apart at the base of test plants of chickpea k-850. Wilt symptoms were greatest in plants inoculated simultaneously with both M. javanica and F. oxysporum f.sp. ciceris, followed in severity by inoculations of the nematode preceding the fungus and the fungus preceding the nematode.
