Effect of nitrogen and growth regulators on seed yield and quality of sunflower

A field experiment was conducted to determine the effects of nitrogen levels (0, 60, 90 and 120 kg/ha) and growth regulators (Cycocel 2500 ppm, TIBA 250 ppm and Kinetin 15 ppm) on CMS-234A seed yield and quality parameters during Karif 1985 at College of Agriculture, Dharwad. The results indicated that among nitrogen levels, 120 kg N per ha recorded the highest processed seed yield (860.79 kg) and among growth regulators TIBA (250 ppm) produced highest processed seed yield (815.97 kg/ha) and interaction of these two registered significantly higher processed seed yield (1,239.81 kg/ha) and its components.
