Effect of soil amendments on the physicochemical properties of sandy loam soil. III. Static and water retention properties



Indian Journal of Agricultural Research 22(4): 197-202



Pot culture experiments were conducted on sandy loam soils with poor structural properties, to study the effects of application of FYM, clay and charcoal on particle size, surface area and water retention characteristics. The amendments were applied at the rate of 10 t/ha, both singly and in combination. Particle size remained unchanged.
