Results from field experiments during the spring/summer and kharif seasons of 1984-85 showed that both Vigna mungo and Vigna radiata gave a significant response to N and P application and Rhizobium inoculation. Application of N with P, K and S at 20:2:5:1 kg/ha as foliar spray at the pod filling stage gave higher yields than N applied as top dressings at the same growth stage.
