Effect of various levels of nitrogen, spacing and their interaction on seed crop of onion (Allium cepa L.) variety Pusa Red

In 2-year trials, plants spaced at 45x30, 60x30 or 60x45 cm received N at 0, 40, 80 or 120 kg/ha. The N dose was split, with one-third applied as a basal dressing with the remaining 2 doses applied 30 and 60 days after planting, respectively.
