Main culm leaf area duration of wheat Cumhuriyet 75, My-54-ELRIH and EBMN-1852 was not affected by foliar N application in the 1st and 3rd weeks after anthesis. Application of 2 x 25 kg N/ha in 1984-85 and 35 + 30 kg/ha in 1985-86 in the 1st week after anthesis increased grain N concn from 2.07 to 2.23% and from 2.16 to 2.55%, resp.
