12 Holstein cows were employed in a 12 x 12 Latin square (2 replicates) to test the effects of pulsation ratio (50:50; 60:40; 70:30), pulsation rate (50 and 60 cycles/min) and teatcup liner design (barrel wall thicknesses of 2.5 and 3.0 mm) on milking speed and milk production.
