Effects of urea and ammonium sulfate on 2,4-D activity for control of Cyperus rotundus

In greenhouse experiments, the activity of 2,4-D at 1 kg/ha against C. rotundus was significantly enhanced by the addition of urea or ammonium sulphate at 10 kg/ha. With higher rates of herbicide, the effect of additives was less significant. In field experiments with 1.5 and 2.0 kg 2,4-D/ha the effects of the additives were again not significant.
