Effects of various fertilization practices on winter wheat quality in Shajiang black soils

Field experiments were conducted on Shajiang (with concretions) black soils with low or medium fertility in southern Henan in 1984-86 to evaluate the influence of N, P and organic manure on quality of winter wheat. Protein, protein N, lysine and gluten contents and precipitation value of the wheat seeds were positively correlated with the amount of N applied in addition to basal P and organic manures.
